About Us
The Friends of SC Elite Dance Team was established to support the growing needs of the dancers of the SC Elite Dance Team. The Team was created in 2017 to give dancers the opportunities to enhance their skills and perform for audiences outside of the Santa Clara Bay Area. Although the dance team isn't new, the Friends of SC Elite Dance Team was just created in 2023 to be able to give more dancers even more opportunities to enhance their skills and reach a broader dance support community. Our dance team has been invited to perform throughout the city of Santa Clara, the greater Bay Area, even as far as Broadway in New York City. Many of our dancers take their training, education and passion with them as they pursue higher education at UCLA, USC, SDSU, Santa Clara University, Seattle University, Oregon State and beyond. Clearly, what we do here has made a greater impact on the future of our dancers.
The Friends of SC Elite Dance Team is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Our mission is to promote children’s dance, foster an environment that inspires their joy of dancing, challenge and develop their individual talents and support positive sportsmanship.
We are composed solely of volunteers who wish to serve and lead by example. Through fundraising efforts, we assist in funding areas of need for all dancers on the Dance Team. We strive to promote team unity while giving back to our community.
Our Vision
We aim to assist the participants of the SC Elite Dance Team in maintaining an active lifestyle by advancing their dance skills through master classes and choreographers and providing them aid to participate in a variety of opportunities to perform and showcase their talents throughout the Santa Clara Bay Area and beyond.
